About Organisation

Founders4Schools is an award winning educational-tech charity dedicated to improving the life chances and social mobility of disadvantaged young people. We have connected over 1.6 million 6-24 year olds with inspirational role models to improve their aspirations, fulfil their potential and prepare them for the rapidly changing world of work. Young people, particularly those from less advantaged backgrounds, are not getting the essential access to careers education that they need in order to successfully transition into the world of work. Likewise, employers are missing out on opportunities to work with and employ talented young people, either because they are not recruiting from a diverse enough talent pool, and/or because they perceive that young people do not have the skills required for entry-level roles.

Our Sustainable Futures Programme in partnership with WWF and Villiers Park Educational Trust will ensure that the importance and relevance of “sustainable careers” becomes an embedded component in careers education across all schools across the UK. At a practical level, we will empower teachers and parents to support a generation of 14-18 year olds at the time when they are making important decisions affecting their future ability to find fulfilling employment and make a difference in the world.

We seek businesses to offer work experience placements in sustainability to young people in the academic year 2022-2023 and to volunteer their expertise on sustainable careers via our platform. Please email Rachael Chibhaga, Regional Engagement Manager, to discuss this project in more detail: rachael.chibhaga@founders4schools.org.uk

With the support of the global membership organisation, 100 Women in Finance, we launched Maths4Girls, with the aim to inspire and encourage girls aged 11-14 to feel confident to pursue maths beyond GCSE and even the gender playing field at A-level and beyond. We do this by offering students the unique opportunity to connect with trailblazing female role models in the industries that use maths in their work, to gain an insight into their working life and receive advice on the qualifications and skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.

We seek to connect with more volunteer speakers who have taken maths beyond GCSE and can inspire young girls with the maths they use in their work everyday. Please email Rachael Chibhaga, Regional Engagement Manager, to discuss this project in more detail: rachael.chibhaga@founders4schools.org.uk
