About Project

Premier League Kicks began as a pilot project in London between the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police in 2006, with a vision to "build safer, stronger, more respectful communities through the development of young peoples' potential".
Since its inception has worked with over 250,000 young people across the UK. It is the flagship community programme the Premier League runs nationally
Its aim is to use football amongst other activities including basketball, cheerleading and cricket to bring communities together and engage with young people, getting to youngsters who had previously proven difficult to reach and guiding them towards a range of healthy and constructive activities.
- To promote participation in sport in areas of high need
- To provide opportunities for young people to develop skills and confidence
- To support young people to progress into positive pathways.
Chelsea PL Kicks has associations with Youth services, local councils, the Police and other sports providers to help raise the aspirations of the young people that attend, and encourage them to make the right choices in their communities. Current supporters of our programme include RBKC Councillors / Wandsworth Borough Council / Everyone Active Westminster / London Sports Trust.
