About Project

We thank you for the interest you have shown in Doorstep Library. Due to COVID-19, we have made some changes to our volunteer recruitment process. We are continuing to recruit volunteers during this period and hope that all new volunteers will be fully trained and out on projects soon. In response to the Government’s recommendations, all Information Sessions will be held digitally via Zoom. Please do register your interest by selecting a date which suits you and we will be in touch with instructions on how to join the session online. We look forward to seeing you very soon!

Operating in some of London’s most disadvantaged areas, volunteers share their love of reading with children under the age of 11, with the belief that words have the power to take children places, not just in their imagination but in their lives. By going directly into the homes we build relationships with the whole family and help parents in supporting their child’s learning and love of books through our weekly visits. To apply for our volunteering opportunities visit our vacancy page!
