What
The Chelsea Champions project offers five schools the opportunity to work exclusively with Chelsea FC Foundation, delivering a unique programme of activities that will aim to build capacity and coping mechanisms in young people through universal, targeted and individual interventions. Chelsea FC Foundation employ a Project Officer in each school who are tasked with coordinating all of the Foundation's Community and Education projects, alongside developing emotional well-being and resilience schemes based on the individual needs of each school. A Chelsea Champion project officer provides the students with an approachable trusted adult when looking to receive support, guidance and advice from at any given time throughout their education. The aim of the Chelsea Champions project is to take Chelsea Football Club to the heart of the community, supporting young people to become resilient young adults, with the mechanisms to cope with the challenges of modern society upon leaving compulsory education. Becoming the central point of contact for Youth Services, Well-being Charities, Local Authorities and Pastoral/Behaviour Leads in school.
