About Project
Bridging The Gap is a 2 hour 6 week course run in the evenings at the secondary school for both pupils and parents/carers to attend. It is fun and interactive focusing on the social, emotional, financial and practical steps that pupils start to take as they work towards independence supported by their parents/carers. By the end of the course pupils will have learnt: • Resilience through focusing on their own qualities and uniqueness • About peer pressure and building good friendships • How to keep safe on and off-line with useful tips and tricks • How money works, saving, spending and budgeting with opportunities for families to share and build on their own learning • How to manage the difficult decisions in school and beyond • Everyday and dilemmas and how to safe in the community And parents/carers will also build confidence regarding: • Their knowledge of crucial brain develop during adolescence • Their understanding of the challenges teenagers face today and how to address and support their child through themProject runs weekly
During: School Term
Excluding: School Holidays & Bank Holidays
